When you book me as your photographer, you’re not just getting stunning images—you’re gaining a trusted partner who will be there every step of the way to make your day as seamless and special as possible.
Here’s how your elopement experience will unfold:
Pre-Ceremony Zoom Call
We’ll start with a friendly Zoom call to go over all the details—your plans, locations, style preferences, and any special moments you want captured. This ensures I’m fully aligned with your vision for the day.
Itinerary
Once we’ve established what sort of elopement you and your partner would like I will then create a rough itinerary of how the experience will take shape.
This will include locations, timings and some suggestions of where to start and what to do. Itineraries are really important so that you both know what to expect. This will be completely editable so you will have the chance to ammend anything that you want. Once you’re happy with the plan it will then be a case of paying a deposit to secure the date and my services.
Meeting & Transportation
On your big day, I’ll arrange to meet you at a location that works for you, whether it’s your accommodation, a scenic spot, or somewhere meaningful to you both. I can also drive you to your ceremony location or shuttle you to different spots throughout the day if you’re looking to do a few photo sessions at various locations. Just let me know if you’d like transportation included.
Flexible Session Lengths
I offer 1.5-hour, 3-hour, and 5-hour packages, but I’m also happy to customize your session to meet your needs. If you want to extend your time with me for more coverage, we can easily arrange that too!

YES! is the quick answer to that. Due to the breathtaking scenes surrounding the castle you’re spoilt for choice for photo locations.
Depending on how much time you want to spend on photos there are several locations that are definately worth considering.
"Can we get photos elsewhere as well as the castle?"

Other photo locations for your eilean donan castle elopements package
1.5 Hour Elopement Package Locations
Within 5 minutes of the castle and available within the 1.5 Hour Elopement Package
Eilean Donan Viewpoint
This spot is just a couple of minutes from the castle carpark.
It’s ideal if you want some elevated shots of the castle.
However, for getting shots of you both it can be tricky. This is due to the height of the gorse and bushes between the viewpoint and the castle. Some head and shoulders shots of you both with the castle behind are likely to be the limit of the shots here.
Carr Brae Viewpoint
For some spectacular views of Loch Duich and the Five Sisters of Kintail, Carr Brae is perfect.
Despite being somewhat exposed due to it’s position at the top of a hill it’s so worth the short 5-10 minute drive from the castle.
You can expect me to get some dramatic shots of you both from this location and it’s not hugely busy so we’re guaranteed the spot to ourselves.
It would be worth bringing some warm coats or overalls for between shots though.
Dornie Hall Pier
Positioned just across the bridge from the castle, Dornie Hall caraprk has great sea-level views of the castle.
There is a small pier where we are guaranteed to get shots of you both without having people in the shot.
Depending on the level of the tide when there, there is the option to also get some shots on the shoreline with Eilean Donan Castle majestically lurking in the backround.
Again, depending on the weather, bringing a coat or overalls is advised.
3 Hour Elopement Package Locations
Within 30 minutes of the castle and available within the 3 Hour Elopement Package
Ratagan Pass
Overlooking Loch Duich and the Kintail mountains this viewpoint offers glorious Highland scenery.
Around a 15 minute drive from the castle this location is well worth the short drive.
It’s also the road that takes you to the scenic village of Glenelg and a beautiful small ferry that crosses to the Isle of Skye.
Loch Duich
This is a similar location to Ratagan Pass but from the shoreline. Here we can capture some truly picturesque vistas of Loch Duich.
Just 15 minutes drive from Eliean Donan Castle, here we have the views across the Loch with the mountains of Kintail in the background. This location is spectacular all year round!
Plockton
Plockton is a picturesque, small village situated just 20 minutes drive from Eilean Donan Castle.
It boasts some beautiful views across Loch Carron and even has some Palm trees dotted along it’s main street.
The village has plenty of spots for beautiful shots of you both with lovely old cottages.

Isle of Skye
Yes, that’s right, the Isle of Skye is a location we could easily visit within the 5 Hour Elopement Package!
What can i say about Skye..well, the photo locations once on the Island are pretty much limitless. But we don’t want to be stuck in a vehicle for too long so my advice would be for us to create an itinerary of locations to visit before we meet.

Loch Ness &
Urquhart Castle
Another fabulous Highland landmark is Urquhart Castle on the shores of Loch Ness.
With the 5 Hour Elopement Package we would have ample time to visit the castle as well as stopping off for some photos along the loch itself.

With the 5 Hour Elopement Package you have the opportunity to do a bit of a Highland Photo Tour.
The idea being that we would visit several locations of your choice or if you like, we can create a list of possible locations around the Highlands. This could include stop-offs at some of the regions most spectacular spots.
We could include Castles, Waterfalls, Lochs & Glens and everything in between!
