Romance is always on the cards on Loch Lomond and nowhere more so than at the Cruin. Cruin wedding photographer Andy Allan Photography takes you through some of his favourite moments from the banks of Loch Lomond.
Special moments on Loch Lomond are a regular occurrence especially during weddings.
The Cruin is a family owned venue and is exclusive to you and your guests creating the most personal wedding imaginable.
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing many couples special days at the Cruin. I have to say as scenic wedding venues go, The Cruin is up there with the best in Scotland.
Of course given it’s location, The Cruin boasts some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery on the shores of Loch Lomond. This makes this place a pretty desirable destination even for a quick stop-off but for weddings it really is a dream venue.
There’s something about the light that as a wedding photographer I love. It must be the light combined with the reflection from the Loch. It somehow makes photographing outdoors a real pleasure.
Speaking of photographing outdoors, of course you have to be lucky to get good weather in Scotland. Not everyone benefits from an outdoor wedding at The Cruin, but when they do, it makes the day.
With the stunning Loch views and the mountains behind it really is an idyllic location. Even if the weather isn’t great, it provides a cosy alternative. The Lochside Terrace and Ceremony Suite offer panoramic views across the loch to Inch Murrin Island.
The famous jetty at The Cruin
As far as photography is concerned, the Cruin has plenty of spots for fantastic photographs including the almost famous jetty that extends out onto the Loch. This is probably one of the best features photographically at the Cruin and on a Summer’s evening is the location for capturing stunning images for the happy couple.
If you are considering The Cruin for your big day, I highly recommend it – it has everything you want from a wedding venue and then some.
Below you will find just a small selection of images I have captured at the Cruin over the years. I hope you like them.
