Highland Elopement PhotographerAlladale Wilderness Reserve plays host to Becky & Matt's Highland Elopement
Alladale Wilderness Reserve – A truly special location for elopement photography
Bek & Matt’s Alladale Elopement was a day to be cherished not just by Bek & Matt but also by their close family and friends who had made the long journey up from Cornwall. Alladale Wilderness Reserve was the perfect setting and the remoteness made for a wonderful get away.
You really do feel like you are in the middle of nowhere at Alladale which is why it’s such a popular destination for couples wanting to elope.
As a wedding photographer who hails from the Highlands, it was truly a pleasure to photograph Bek & Matt’s elopement. I just love getting the opportunity to photograph in the Highlands and in new locations.
Outdoors capturing great images
We decided prior to the day that we would take a trip out onto the estate to capture some shots of Bek & Matt.
The wonderful backdrop of Glen Alladale was perfect and we got lucky with the weather! Whilst it wasn’t glorious sunshine, it was characteristically Highland with a mixture of showers, rainbows and beautiful light which made for great images.
From a wedding photographer’s point of view Alladale is perfect – lovely warm light twinned with stunning scenery.
Alladale Highland Cows
The Alladale Wilderness Reserve is alive with wildlife. Bek & Matt wanted to get some shots with the resident Highland cows in the field. The cattle were fair game and we got some nice shots with the backdrop of Glen Alladale to set the scene.
Relaxing at Alladale Lodge
A relaxed atmosphere back at Alladalde Lodge for the evening reception. Bek & Matt soaked up the Highland hospitality laid on by the staff at the lodge. This was a lovely time to capture Bek & Matt relaxing with their guests and get the all-important candid shots of everyone enjoying themselves.
